Susie Wolff’s story starts on the karting track at age eight, where she quickly distinguished herself as a top driver. She moved up through the ranks of Formula Renault and Formula Three before racing in DTM (Deutsche Tourenwagen Masters) for Mercedes-Benz, spending nearly a decade competing at the highest levels of touring car racing.
In 2014, she made history by becoming the first woman in over two decades to participate in a Formula 1 race weekend, driving for Williams at the British Grand Prix. It was a defining moment in a career already marked by resilience, precision, and relentless pursuit of excellence.
After retiring from driving in 2015, Susie turned her focus to championing change in the sport. In 2016, she co-founded Dare To Be Different, an initiative to inspire and support girls in motorsport, which has since partnered with the FIA to expand its global reach. That same commitment to progress led her to the boardroom.
In 2018, she was appointed Team Principal and shareholder of ROKiT Venturi Racing in Formula E. Under her leadership, the team saw record-breaking success, culminating in a second-place finish in the 2021–22 season. She was promoted to CEO in 2021 before stepping down in 2022 as the team transitioned into Maserati MSG Racing.
In 2023, Susie became the Managing Director of F1 Academy—Formula 1’s all-female driver category. In this role, she’s driving a powerful mission: to develop the next generation of female talent and pave the way to the highest levels of competition. Susie is also featured in Netflix’s F1: The Academy docuseries, produced by Hello Sunshine and Reese Witherspoon. Susie’s memoir, Driven, will be published in October 2025.
In recognition of her leadership and contributions to sport, Susie was awarded an MBE in 2017. She’s a respected voice in global motorsport, bilingual in English and German, and a frequent speaker for leading companies such as UBS, Randstad, and Mercedes-Benz AMG.
