Before Google

Before joining Google, Shweta contributed as an executive at Genentech, where she led market growth strategies relevant to technology accelerators for therapies and diagnostics. During her time at Genentech, she received multiple awards, including two Innovation Awards and the MVP Award.

She has also previously served as Director for the Center for Minimally Invasive Therapeutics at Summa Health System Hospital and worked in research roles with The Cleveland Clinic and Scripps Clinic. At The Cleveland Clinic, she contributed to establishing medical device technologies for pediatric scoliosis as well as driving the licensing of several devices to GE Health, Medtronic, and Stryker.

With 20+ years of experience in clinical research, healthcare, and biotech, she brings an eye for detail, winning contract negotiation skills, and financial insight to support her commercial partnership strategy and medical technology expertise. She’s so successful, that a position was created just for her after excelling at Genentech.

Google Cloud

Since July 2018, Shweta has served as the Global Leader of Healthcare & Life Sciences Solutions & Strategy at Google, where she leads the vision, strategy, and execution of Google Cloud’s industry product strategy and go-to-market model. She leverages broad technology solutions, including GenAI, and cross-Alphabet relationships with industry-specific products to deepen engagements.
