Michael Rogers is a Stanford University alumnus with additional training in finance and management at the Stanford Business School Executive Program. 

Journalism

Rogers began his career as a writer for Rolling Stone. Later, he joined Newsweek to create the magazine’s Technology section. There, he covered the bleeding-edge topics of the day, ranging from Chernobyl and genetic engineering to the rise of the internet. Rogers would go on to serve as the editor and general manager of Newsweek.com. As a visionary for the 21st century, Rogers’ work with Newsweek would earn him the Distinguished Online Service award from the National Press Club for coverage of 9/11. 

Michael Rogers was the futurist-in-residence for The New York Times and a columnist for NBC.com. He is also a best-selling novelist, writing fiction exploring the human impact of technology. Today, he resides in New York City.
