Biography

Becoming The Eagles Insider

Dave Spadaro always knew he wanted to be in sports.

While at Temple University, Dave got his start as a sports reporter at the West Chester Daily Local News. After graduation, he continued to work at the Daily Local News for several years. Eventually, he was hired to run Eagles Digest, a fan magazine the team jointly ran with Curtis Publishing. Then in 1997, Spadaro was named the Eagles’ director of publications, tasked with overseeing the Digest, the team yearbook, and GameDay magazine.

However, the arrival of the Internet changed everything.

Dave took over the Eagles website in 1998 and put the franchise way ahead of the curve in terms of content and fan engagement. He gave fans inside access to the Eagles, reporting on all of the team’s happenings. Today, that inside look can come in the form of interviews with top Eagles talent like Devonta Smith and Jordan Davis.

Hire Dave Spadaro

In his nearly 30 years with the team, Dave’s role has changed multiple times. But, one thing’s been constant. He has constantly adapted to new technology, trends, variable team success, and the ever-changing demands of fan relationships to maintain the Eagles’ status as a leader in sports content and communication.

Over those years, Dave has been on a fascinating journey. He’s had the ultimate taste of victory, hoisting the Lombardi Trophy after the Eagles’ Super Bowl LII victory. Along with six other trips to the NFC Championship Game and two more Super Bowl appearances that have fallen short, Dave has learned a great deal about what separates great teams from the pack, which he passes on in his keynotes.
