While living in a rural village in Peru, working for a non-profit, she witnessed the power that food and nutrition can have on health outcomes. Following her time in Peru, Carly began her education towards becoming a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN).
Carly earned a Master of Science degree in Nutrition from Bastyr University, the oldest accredited natural medicine college in the United States. She worked in ICUs and Diabetes clinics before starting her own practice as a clinical dietitian. In addition, she teaches community cooking classes and is the author of her own cookbook The Nutritionist’s Kitchen.
