Philip Rosenthal was born in Queens, New York, and took an interest in acting at a young age. Following high school, Phillip dabbled in acting before taking on production work. Phillip first found success with his CBS sitcom Everybody Loves Raymond, which he co-produced with Ray Romano. Despite his success as a producer, Rosenthal couldn’t stay behind the camera. So, he took on smaller acting roles in shows such as Curb Your Enthusiasm and 30 Rock throughout the 2010s.
Phil Rosenthal made a television comeback in the award-winning PBS documentary series I’ll Have What Phil’s Having. Phil wanted to express his passion as a “foodie,” and finally found an outlet. However, Phil wanted to continue in the “foodie” genre after he had learned so much about the media space. Netflix green-lit another foodie series starring Phil, Somebody Feed Phil. Now, Phillip Rosenthal is a household name, named a “Power Player of Food Media” alongside Chef Gordon Ramsey by The Hollywood Reporter.
Philip Rosenthal has partnered with several philanthropic organizations related to his love for food. All profits from Phillip Rosenthal’s merchandise go to Food Forward, helping to redistribute surplus food to those in need.
