At age 13, Oz Pearlman fell in love with magic. While on a cruise with his family, he was brought on stage and witnessed the miracle known as “the sponge balls.” How in the world could one ball transform into three while squeezed so tightly in his hand? That trick, and the sleepless night that followed it, set in motion years of tireless study. For Oz, all things magic became his life. If you bumped into Oz anytime between the ages of 13 and 23, he almost certainly had a deck of cards in hand and coins rolling up and down his fingers. By age 14, Oz landed his first steady gig at a local Italian restaurant in Farmington Hills, Michigan. There, he discovered his passion for amazing audiences with his abilities.
While magic was his passion, Oz earned a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the University of Michigan in 2003. After college, Oz worked in Merrill Lynch’s global technology services department. At that time, he was only performing magic and mentalism as a part-time profession. However, when he was hired to deliver a corporate entertainment show to upper management within the company, he quit his full-time job at Merrill Lynch to focus on being a full-time entertainer.

In August 2023, he appeared on HBO Hard Knocks and performed for the New York Jets.
