He started as a rapper on MTV in 1991 and was featured in the soundtrack of the 2004 movie White Chicks. Then in 1992, Jesse wrote and sang the New York Knicks theme song “Go NY Go” as well as original songs for more than 50 other professional teams. Additionally, he wrote and sang the Emmy Award-winning song “I Love This Game” and also produced the theme song for Inside the NBA. Eventually, he would become the manager of one of the greatest hip-hop bands ever, Run-DMC.

Entrepreneurship

Apart from his career in hip-hop, Jesse is a successful entrepreneur. Jesse’s mission is to continually raise the bar and build his Life Resume. In 1996, Itzler co-founded Alphabet City Sports Records which was known for mixing classic arena songs with highlights of historical play-by-play calls for professional sports teams. By 1998, the company was sold to SFX. In 2001, he co-founded Marquis Jet, one of the largest private jet card companies in the world. With Marquis Jets, Jesse served as the company’s Vice Chairman until the company was acquired by Berkshire Hathaway in 2009. That same year, Itzler created the 100 Mile Group, a brand incubator and accelerator. The company partnered with ZICO Coconut Water and in 2013, ZICO was acquired by Coca-Cola.

Health & Wellness

Jesse also maintains a steadfast passion for health and wellness. Specifically, he loves endurance challenges. He’s run over 50 marathons, has finished several 100-mile running races, and recently rode his bike across America. In 2022 he completed an Ultraman at the age of 53. In total, an Ultraman entails a 6.2-mile open water swim, 261.4-mile bike, and 52.4-mile run.
