NFL Greatness
Before he became a fixture on morning television and one of the most trusted personalities in sports media, Michael Strahan built one of the most dominant careers the NFL has ever seen. Over 15 seasons with the New York Giants, he established himself as one of football’s most feared defensive players, earning seven Pro Bowl appearances, four First-team All-Pro selections, NFL Defensive Player of the Year honors, and helping lead the franchise to a dramatic Super Bowl victory over the previously undefeated New England Patriots in 2007.
His legendary career reached its highest honors with induction into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2014 and the College Football Hall of Fame in 2025. Along the way, Strahan became known not only for his talent and intensity on the field, but also for the leadership, energy, and poise that would later define his work off it.
A Natural in Broadcasting
Strahan’s transition from football to television was more than successful—it was exceptional. He quickly rose through the ranks to become one of the country’s top sports broadcasters, joining FOX NFL Sunday as an analyst and earning acclaim for his insight, humor, and effortless on-camera presence.
He later expanded into daytime television, co-hosting the nationally syndicated Live with Kelly and Michael for four years. During that run, Strahan and Kelly Ripa won back-to-back Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Entertainment Talk Show Host. Since joining Good Morning America, he has continued to prove his range as a broadcaster, helping lead one of television’s most influential morning shows while covering major national and global stories with warmth, credibility, and heart.
His work in journalism has earned some of the industry’s top honors, including a Peabody Award and recognition as Broadcaster of the Year by the New York State Broadcasters Association. In 2022, he was further honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the category of Sports Entertainment.
Producer and Media Entrepreneur
Beyond broadcasting, Strahan has built an impressive presence as a producer and entrepreneur. He is the co-founder of SMAC Entertainment, a multidimensional talent management, branding, music, and production company he launched with longtime business partner Constance Schwartz-Morini. Together, they have built SMAC into a major force in sports and entertainment, developing premium film and television projects across major networks and streaming platforms. SMAC’s slate includes acclaimed and high-profile projects for ABC, HBO, Prime Video, Netflix, Showtime, Nickelodeon, and more.
He is also the New York Times bestselling author of Wake Up Happy, a motivational book that blends personal stories with practical lessons on mindset, resilience, and ambition.
Whether in front of the camera or behind the scenes, Strahan has shown a remarkable ability to connect storytelling, culture, and audience engagement at the highest level.
