I don’t remember having a single class on how to be successful.
Has anyone?
Anyone?
All right. Get out those paper and pencils.
This is that class that you wanted, but you never had. You ready?
Please welcome Ruth
Goodkin.
I study extreme high achievers, Nobel Prize winners, and
astronauts, and Olympic champions, and NBA champions.
All of them had not just one, but a team of
mentors.
You cannot let other people tell you what your success can
look like.
My mentor, he said six words to me that changed my life.
He said,
“Do something important, not just interesting.”
Changed my life.
I never believe anybody wakes up in the morning aiming to be average.
Average is fine, but I believe sometimes we want more
than fine. We want to succeed.
It’s my job to make people successful.
