Building a Hospitality and Entertainment Empire

Lisa Vanderpump has spent decades building successful businesses across hospitality, entertainment, publishing, and consumer products. Alongside her husband, Ken Todd, she has been involved in the restaurant and nightclub industry for more than 30 years, creating a portfolio that includes SUR, Vanderpump Cocktail Garden, Vanderpump à Paris, Pinky’s by Vanderpump, and Wolf by Vanderpump.

Her entrepreneurial reach continues to expand with The Vanderpump Hotel on the Las Vegas Strip, as well as lifestyle brands including Vanderpump Pets, Vanderpump Vodka, Vanderpump Sangria, Vanderpump Wines, and Vanderpump Alain.

Vanderpump first became a household name through Bravo’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills before launching one of reality television’s most successful franchises with Vanderpump Rules. As executive producer, she helped build the series into a cultural phenomenon. She later expanded her television portfolio with Hulu’s Vanderpump Villa, while also appearing on Gordon Ramsay’s Food Stars, World’s Most Amazing Dog, and Dancing with the Stars.

Her debut cookbook, Home at Villa Rosa, is scheduled for publication in partnership with Hachette Book Group.

Advocacy, Philanthropy, and Community Leadership

Beyond business and television, Vanderpump has dedicated significant efforts to philanthropy and advocacy. In 2016, she and Ken Todd founded The Vanderpump Dog Foundation, an organization focused on ending animal abuse and improving the lives of dogs worldwide.

Her advocacy work includes organizing a peaceful protest against the Yulin Dog Meat Festival, addressing Congress, and producing the documentary The Road to Yulin…and Beyond, which received the Audience Award at the LA Awareness Festival. She was also recognized on the congressional floor for helping advance House Resolution 401, a formal condemnation of the dog meat trade.

Vanderpump is a longtime advocate for the LGBTQ community and serves as a spokesperson for GLAAD. Her humanitarian efforts have also included leading the 30th annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles, supporting Breast Cancer Awareness initiatives, addressing the United Nations Concert for the Ebola effort, and receiving recognition as California’s “Woman of the Year.”
