Whatever mental or physical stress you’re carrying, you start
to really physically manifest it in the body.
And so over time, as that builds up, if you’re not
releasing it,
you start to express symptoms, whether it be
neck and back pain,
digestive issues, high blood pressure, other
chronic illnesses.
And then we’re sitting, looking back like, “How did I get here?
What’s wrong with me? How come I can’t
regulate my
system?”
Mm-hmm.
Stress doesn’t just live in the mind, it lives in the body.
And for high performers, that pressure never turns off.
Dr. Danielle Griffin is redefining what it means to truly heal.
And draw both hands into your heart.
At this point in my life, I felt like I was using every
extremity to hold my life together,
and with one slip up, it would all fall apart.
Have you ever felt that way?
She’s a somatic therapist, coach, keynote speaker, and clinical
consultant, helping leaders break free from stress, pain, and
burnout.
When I learned about the somatics, it allowed me to calm my
nervous system,
get the rest that I needed, and then the hypnotherapy allowed me
to
really do that mindset work to help release the fear
and be able to move forward,
and creating this practice for myself where I embodied both of
the things.
If rest has to be earned, then your ability to
recover and heal also has to be earned.
And we’re all entitled to
a healthy life. We’re all entitled to have the
ability to rest and recover and have those resources.
We don’t have to feel like we’re not worthy of it,
because we came in this world worthy of it.
From corporate leaders to everyday individuals, her methods are helping people
heal from the inside out.
You’ve got an extremely impressive resume.
There’s so many people out there that I know
that need this, both the somatic therapy and the
hypnotherapy. Start with the breathing, in through the
nose and out.
Draw awareness to your heart beating in your chest to relieve the
tension or pain.
Now pause and observe the peace
and calm you feel in this moment.
This is the practice of somatic exercise.
So I started applying these 90-second pauses like you just did, and
10-minute mobility stretches when working with busy professionals
struggling with stress and pain, and we felt the stress
melt away.
This isn’t just wellness, this is transformation.
This is what it feels like to finally come home to yourself.
I started or stopped operating in fear.
And survival girl.
Right. So I was in survival mode. I let go.
I
knew what was for me, what was meant for me.
I stopped saying yes to everything and started saying yes to
the things that were aligned. And when I saw all those
benefits, not just the high blood pressure benefits, but just
my whole life, full circle,
I was like, “I have to learn how to do this.”
