Indiana remains the last school to accomplish this fully undefeated feat. Following his final collegiate season, he was drafted 7th overall in the 1976 NBA draft by the Milwaukee Bucks. Just before joining the Bucks, Buckner won a gold medal as part of the U.S. Basketball team at the 1976 Montreal Olympics. In the NBA, Buckner earned NBA All-Defensive Second Team honors 4 times and won an NBA Championship ring with the Boston Celtics in 1984, cementing a basketball legacy that few can surmount.
