A former quarterback and wide receiver, he played at Western Michigan before transferring to Saginaw Valley State, where he led the team to three consecutive playoff appearances and graduated as the school’s all-time leader in passing yards and touchdowns. In Atlanta, he coached Matt Ryan to an NFL MVP season and a Super Bowl appearance. In Los Angeles, he helped double the Rams’ scoring output and mentored Todd Gurley to AP Offensive Player of the Year. By the time he arrived in Green Bay, Matt had built a résumé of resilience, trust-building, and offensive brilliance.
